Firstly, ensure you have carefully measured the width of your credit card machine roll. This has to be done very precisely to be sure it will fit into your terminal with ease.
Virtually all credit card machines will use a thermal roll which is 57mm wide, but be sure to double check. The standard diameter of these rolls is 40mm, so a specification of 57x40mm will fit most card machines. This size till roll will fit 95% of credit card terminals, so are pretty universal.
The 40mm measurement is the diameter of the roll. Although you may find rolls cheaper which are 57x38mm, these will not last you as long so are not as economical in the long run.
Also available for card machines are 57x30mm rolls, however, these are quite rare and won’t last as long either. It is always wise when ordering to make sure you are choosing the correct dimensions, as the 57x40mm roll will be too large for some units which have a 30mm diameter.
